Somatic Breathwork w the Collective Breath

Somatic Release Breathwork

Sundays 3pm

$32 a class

Drop Ins Welcome

Somatic Release Breathwork is an embodied experience that allows the movement of stuck energy and emotion within the body, giving way to a release, encouraging the nervous system to regulate. The breath helps in clearing anything that may be sitting around trauma, pressure or stress that is being held within the body.

The Foundation - 75 min class

A 75 min breathwork practice focused on the release of stress, pressure, trauma and emotion sitting within the body that may be creating blocks.

The Retelling - 90 min class

A 90 min breathwork and journal practice focused on the shedding and undoing of old patterns, protective beliefs and limiting narratives that may be carried within.

For The Breathwork

This Somatic Release Breathwork session is a group breathwork session, beginning with a grounding meditation that will help prompt us to focus on the intention and breathwork. This is a safe space, in which all are welcomed and no experience is required.

The first half of the session will be about the release and clearing of anything that may be sitting around trauma, pressure and stress that has been repressed and held within the body - helping it move through and out. The second half of the session will focus on calling in more of what is needed at this moment in your life to fill spaces we have cleared - creating new perspectives, clarity and healing. This is a safe space, in which all are welcomed and no experience is required.

No props are needed. Feel free to have a blanket if you like and a journal is encouraged to write down anything that may come up during your experience.

Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance - Sundays 1:30pm Gratitude Yoga Salmon Arm

Drop in !

Ecstatic dance is an inner/outer journey, an authentic moving meditation where presence and ecstasy can be experienced. It creates a direct body-mind-spirit connection, allowing our body and inner guide to be our own teachers. It’s about being fully present, transparent and real with oneself and others, discovering our own true dance, using this movement and energetic experience to release stuck patterns in our bodies, emotions and mind and being able to move beyond separation and experience true union.

Ecstatic dance is a spiritual practice. A safe space to explore healing through divine communion, individually and within community, without the iterations of the mind while talking and drinking, common in the nightclub scene. At ecstatic dance you have no one to impress, our attention is focused in ourselves not in others so you can be utterly yourself, getting down, letting loose, allowing your emotions, dreams and prayers to dance themselves, freeing your mind and body while connecting with yourself, others and spirit in a safe and healthy way.

Ecstatic dance empowers people of all shapes, ages, sizes and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives permission and courage to dance without inhibition. Everyone is welcomed.

Dynamic and inspirational, Ryan Leier brings his unique energy and sacred knowledge to every class he teaches. Whether in his own One Yoga studios or as an ambassador of yoga to communities worldwide, his expression of this ancient yet vital tradition consistently touches people's hearts. Ryan's commitment to honouring his teachers leads him to be equally devoted to continuing his studies as to teaching.

Ryan is primarily a student of the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage, which he has studied extensively with many of the most revered teachers in the modern history of yoga. He was also blessed to have studied directly with BKS Iyengar, a powerful experience that has deeply influenced his practice and teaching.

He maintains his ongoing studies with Srivatsa Ramaswami (Vinyasa Krama) and Father Joe Pereira (Iyengar), both by whom he was authorized to teach and both of whom deeply inform his personal practice as well as his independent study of yoga philosophy and traditional Sanskrit Chanting. Ryan also studies with Baron Baptiste, Eddie Modestini, Nicki Doane, and Danny Paradise.

Drawing inspiration from his deep love for his daughters, Kiyah and Thora Grace, Ryan created Vinyasa Yoga for Youth, an innovative non-profit organization designed to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of youth ages 5 to 22 through the empowering practice of yoga. Ryan's dedication to connecting with his community has also led to his role as a global ambassador for lululemon athletica.

Ryan's life and practice have recently been altered by mental health challenges. This intense period of darkness has ignited in him a renewed relationship and passion for sharing the profound healing power of yoga.

Ryan believes that through steady practice and devotion, all people – regardless of their age, gender, race, or religion, can experience the Oneness of Yoga.

Join Jeffrey C Sorensen and the breathARMY community as we dive into the fundamentals of the Wim Hof Method!!!

Known as "The Iceman", Wim Hof got his name by breaking a number of world records, including climbing to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and into the Death Zone of Mount Everest in his shorts and sandals, running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle in his bare feet, a full marathon in the Namib Desert with no water and standing in a container while covered with ice cubes for more than 112 minutes.

The event will begin with a discussion of the history and science of the method and will be followed by a guided breathing session offering you the opportunity to go deep into your physiology.

Following the breathing session, we will discuss the science of the breathing method and of cold exposure, we will prepare the ice baths together and discuss the pillar of mindset.

Movement will prepare us for the ice bath. The ice bath is optional and will be closely guided by Jeff. Following the ice bath we will warm up with more movement and discuss how to implement the method into your life.

Restorative Yin Aerial Yoga

B1610FC6-6775-46D5-A43E-009734357F9E.jpeg

This is a gentle and therapeutic version of aerial yoga. The extra support of a silk hammock allows the body to completely soften, surrender and focus effortlessly. Like classical restorative yin yoga, this class balances the elements of a slow-paced asana flow, pranayama, and powerful guided meditation enhancing awareness of the internal sensations present in the body and mind. However, a levitated yoga practice reaches muscle groups that cannot be accessed on the mat, providing a deeper dimension into organic exploration in each pose and enhances stretches and twists. Practicing while levitated also calms the nervous system, and boosts the immune system.

Students will enjoy a tranquil candle-lit, inward focused practice, grounding their energy while off of the ground. You'll explore how to remain in a meditative mindset while in and out of motion. Students will finish their practice with an extra long savasana experience, floating peacefully inside of a silk cocoon.

Recommended for all levels and anyone new-to-aerial yoga.

Aerial Yoga: Foundations

Aerial Yoga is a happy joyous practice, allowing the endorphins and blood to flow freely around the body giving us that wonderful natural high. It’s playful, supportive and beneficial for all abilities.

In this non-heated 4 week series studio owners Cate Currie and Erin Ferguson guide you through the foundations of Aerial Yoga. Expect a full mind/body work out each class, as we incorporate creative inversions, flips, flying and a healthy dose of mindful relaxing yin poses. Each class ends with a beautiful floating mindful savasana in the support of the silk cocoon.

Aerial Yoga defies gravity, allowing you to perform various yoga poses, some that may feel out of reach on the mat but possible with the support of our gorgeous silk hammocks. The hammock is a great and safe way to learn balancing poses, back bends and inversions.

Get ready to sweat! Due to the nature of Aerial Yoga movements, we are working almost all parts of the body. Increasing flexibility by encouraging the body to move deeper with the help of the hammock. Imagine a giant pair of hands holding you while you develop your back bending/ extension of the spine techniques. We also use the hammocks for strength and stamina training, using our own body weight to increase strength and definition on the upper body, the core, arm and back muscles. Aerial works wonders for posture and back issues allowing decompression of the spine and joints while being supported in inversions.

$99/student for 4 week series: all props included

Course Runs Saturday’s from 4-5pm January 11-Feb1 2020
